Christian Bale: No More Batman Movies for me

Christian Bale, who plays Bruce Wayne and Batman on Christopher Nolan’s films, has announced that he won’t be doing any more Batman movies in the future.

The 37-year-old Bale joined Batman director Christopher Nolan to re-do the graphic novel in 2005. The first film “Batman Begins” earned $372M in the box office, while the 2008 sequel “The Dark Knight” reached $1B. The third film “Dark Knight Rises” hits theaters on July 20 next year.
In a recent interview, Bale describes co-star Anne Hathaway’s role as the toughest of all, saying “There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne’s role as being the toughest job of any of us.”
He announced the end of filming for the third film, saying “I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that Batman hood off. I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it’s all done.”
